Mukai Construction Company and Ozaki Construction Company received the Enterprise Award for Best Implementation of the Foreign Technical Intern Training Program.

During their visit to major companies in Vietnam specializing in training and dispatching technical intern trainees, including Vinaconex MEC (under Vinaconex Group), SIMCO (under Song Da Group), CEO (under FPT Group), and Licogi Corporation, Taisei Construction Group and the Japan Trade and Construction Promotion Fund held a meeting with NIBELC’s Board of Directors to discuss matters related to cooperation opportunities and the development of the Japanese Technical Intern Training Program.

On February 21, 2014, NIBELC was honored to welcome Ms. Tsuruya Yoko, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, and the Embassy delegation for a visit and working session.

On February 14, 2014, Mr. Morihiro Tsutada, Executive Director of Konoike Construction Co., Ltd., one of the four largest construction companies in Japan, visited and held a working session with the leadership of NIBELC International Construction and Labor Supply Joint Stock Company, and toured the NIBELC Vocational Training Center in Ninh Binh Province.

After Samsung Electronics’ USD 5.7 billion investment, other Samsung affiliates are now choosing Vietnam for full-scale investment. Samsung plans to invest in Vung Ang 3 Thermal Power Plant in Ha Tinh Province, Long Thanh Airport in Dong Nai Province, and the shipbuilding industry.

JGCS Consortium has recently signed a subcontract with Construction Corporation No. 1 to implement and construct the Nghi Son Refinery Project in Thanh Hoa Province.

The Ministry of Transport has issued Decision No. 326/QĐ-BGTVT, approving adjustments to the Phap Van – Cau Gie Road Upgrade Investment Project (Hanoi City) under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.

Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (VINACONEX) has signed a contract with the main contractor, JGCS Consortium (Japan), to execute the CVL-7 Technical Infrastructure Construction Package under the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex Project located in the Nghi Son Economic Zone, Tinh Gia District, Thanh Hoa Province.

In the first two months of 2014, four important transportation projects commenced construction, including: Long Binh - Chray Thom Bridge, Kieu Bridge, My Loi Bridge at Km 34+826, and the sea-crossing bridge in Hai Phong.

Major transport infrastructure projects with investment capital of hundreds of millions of USD, expected to be developed under the PPP model, are attracting significant interest from both domestic and foreign investors.

On the morning of January 27, the EPC contract signing ceremony for the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex Project was officially held in Thanh Hoa Province. The project is located in Nghi Son Economic Zone, Tinh Gia District. This is one of Vietnam’s key national projects.

Package No. 1, the 8 km section of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway Construction Project under the Japanese ODA loan component, has found its construction contractor.
