On February 21, 2014, NIBELC was honored to welcome Ms. Tsuruya Yoko, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, and the Embassy delegation for a visit and working session.
At the working session, Ms. Tsuruya Yoko expressed her pleasure at the increasingly close and strengthened cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in general, and between enterprises of the two countries in particular. She also congratulated NIBELC on the achievements it had made over the past years, having sent thousands of technical interns to study and train at Japanese enterprises, thereby contributing to economic development and the good relations between the two countries.

Also at the working session, Ms. Tsuruya Yoko and the delegation members stated that Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare wished to seek feedback from major Vietnamese sending organizations and providers of technical interns, including NIBELC, in order to improve the Technical Intern Training Program in Japan.
Representatives of NIBELC warmly welcomed the delegation and provided comments on various aspects of the program, including the acceptance period, training occupations, and living conditions of technical interns in Japan. At the same time, NIBELC expressed its wish to receive greater attention from the Government of Japan and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, in order to create more favorable conditions for interns to have stable lives, work, and training in Japan.
The meeting and working session took place successfully, with hopes for significant improvements brought by the governments of the two countries to the Japanese Technical Intern Training Program, opening a new step forward for enterprises sending and supplying technical interns to Japan.
