Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (VINACONEX) has signed a contract with the main contractor, JGCS Consortium (Japan), to execute the CVL-7 Technical Infrastructure Construction Package under the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex Project in Nghi Son Economic Zone, Tinh Gia District, Thanh Hoa Province.
The package, valued at nearly VND 900 billion, includes key works such as site improvement, pile head breaking, soft soil treatment using prefabricated vertical drains, tank foundations, and wastewater drainage systems. The package is expected to be completed and handed over to the investor in the fourth quarter of 2016, with a construction period of 34 months over an area of approximately 900,000 m².
According to VINACONEX’s leadership, being selected as one of the contractors for the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex Project—a national key project for ensuring energy security—is both an honor and a confirmation of VINACONEX’s brand reputation and construction capacity in the market, especially for projects involving foreign investment and foreign contractors. It also opens up opportunities for cooperation and construction of oil and gas projects in the future.
